"The experience of unification by Korean residents in Germany, who directly experienced the German unification and who are experiencing the advantages and disadvantages of unification, needs to be utilized as a precious asset to prepare for the unification of our people," said North European Chapter Head Choi Wol-ah in his opening address.
In his congratulatory speech, Lee Gyeong-soo, the Korean ambassador to Germany, said that the unification of the Korean Peninsula will be achieved inevitably in the course of history and cited the need to make stringent preparation on unification by gaining our national power, just as Western Germany achieved German unification through economic and diplomatic pressure on Eastern Germany and through agreements by the surrounding countries.
In his congratulatory speech, Park Jong-bum, vice-chairperson of the Europe Assembly, talked about the roles of NUAC council members in making efforts to promote consensus on the legitimacy of the unification in the Korean Peninsula, creating friendly public opinions, and making the youth feel the necessity of unification.

In his opening address, Park Jong-bum, Vice-chairperson of the Europe Assembly, noted that, among the stringent realities facing major countries around the world, which are only thinking about their own profits to an extreme degree, as well as continuous provocations by North Korea, overseas Korean residents need to think sincerely about how they can help their motherland.
In his congratulatory speech, Shin Dong-ik, Korean Ambassador to Austria, expressed belief that, despite the anxiety on the launching of the Trump government in the US, the solidity of the Korea-US alliance and strong willingness for defense against North Korean provocations have been confirmed and asked the audience to make efforts in mitigating the tension in the Korean Peninsula and achieving peaceful unification by joining forces with friendly neighbor countries.
In his congratulatory address, Jeong Jong-hwan, President of the Korean Community in Austria, expressed hope that this conference lecture becomes an opportunity for establishing a set of values on unification for Koreans living in Austria.

In his welcome address, Shim Sang-man, head of the India Branch of the Southwest Asia Chapter, noted that Korea is placed in a very grave situation in and out of the country and argued that we need to have clear recognition of the current situation in order to overcome such crisis situation.
In his congratulatory address, Um Kyung-ho, head of the Southwest Asia Chapter, emphasized the importance of India as a rising country and expressed gratitude for the hard works of council members at the Indian Chapter who prepared for the unification lecture conference held in Delhi for the first time. According to him, the 17th term of the Southwest Asia Chapter, which consists of multiple countries, was an opportunity for revitalizing the Chapter as groups from each country actively held lecture conferences and various unification activities on their own.
