The Jeju Municipal Chapter (head: Im Gang-ja) and the North Europe Chapter (head: Choi Wol-ah) hosted a joint symposium on “Preparing for Unification Together, Advancing a Unified Future” at Holiday Inn Frank Airport-North on March 9. The symposium was attended by around 40 people including council members of the Jeju Municipal Chapter and the North Europe Chapter as well as employees of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Frankfurt.

During the presentations, Kang Keun-hyeong, professor at Jeju National University, gave an explanation on “Changes in Northeast Asia and Korea in Response to the Trump Administration. Baek Bum-heum, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Frankfurt, gave a presentation on “Tasks for the Unification of Korea as Seen Through a Unified Germany.” With the success of the symposium, both chapters agreed to promote various kinds of cooperation to strengthen council members' unification capabilities and spread a consensus on unification through further exchanges.
