The Asan Municipal Chapter (head: Kim Se-young) of Chungcheongnam-do hosted the “8th History and Unification Quiz Competition” at the Asan Gymnasium on December 9.

At this event, around 150 people participated, including Kim Jin-pyo, Director of Education of Chungcheongnam-do Asan Office of Education, Kim Jong-min, Chief of Asan Police Station, council members, high school juniors in the region, and teachers.

The history and unification quiz competition proceeded in order of preliminary and final rounds through subjective test and ○× questions about issues on South and North Korea, various terminologies, and general social·political·cultural and common knowledge, with students from each school passionately cheering for their schools to win.

The history and unification quiz competition has been held since 2009 with the participation of juniors from 4 high schools including Asan High School, in order to establish a proper view of history and strengthen the longing for unification.
