The Africa Chapter (head: Hwang Jae-gil) held a photo exhibition depicting the reality of North Korea on May 28 at the Korean Church in South Africa, Johannesburg to allow the people to view the livelihood, food shortage, energy shortage, and economic difficulties of North Korea.

At the entrance of the Exhibition in the Korean Church of Johannesburg, the council members handed out English and Korean materials stating the reality of North Korea. Over 250 photos depicting human rights suppression due to the 3rd-generation power transition and real economic situation of North Korea were exhibited.

This exhibition was viewed by over 600 people ranging from council members including Hwang Jae-gil, Korean ambassador to South Africa, Choi Yeon-ho and related officials, Korean community president Kim Jin-ui, religious leaders, and teachers from the Korean school to parents and students.
