The Southwest Asia Municipal Chapter (Head: Choi Kyu-joon) held a memorial service for the 46 victims of the Cheonan warship attacked by North Korea last Mar. 26 at the Korean Cultural Center in Bangkok, Thailand. A total of 107 persons attended the service including Choi Kyu-joon, Head of the Southwest Asia Municipal Chapter, Jeon Seong-su, Korean Consul General to Thailand, and Chae Eon-Gi, President of the Korean Association in Thailand; they watched a video titled "West Sea Keeping Awake Till Now" after offering flowers and incense for the victims.

The attendants adopted a letter of resolution supporting the Korean Peninsula’s Trust-Building Process of Park Geun-hye’s government and inter-Korean policy. They urged North Korea to fulfill the 1992 Joint Declaration on the Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and give up its nuclear tests.
