The Chungju Municipal Chapter of Chungcheongbuk-do (Head : Son Gyeong-su) held the 7th Walkathon of One Mind Wishing for Peaceful Unification last Mar. 1 at Hoamji Pond and Hoam Ecology Park to spread the sympathy for national unification.
A total of 2,000 local residents attended the opening ceremony, where Lee Jong-bae, mayor of Chungju City, and Rep. Yoon Jin-sik offered their congratulations for the holding of the event, which featured percussion performance and chorus of unification songs wishing for peaceful unification.
