Suwon Municipal Chapter (Head: Jeong Jae-kyu) held the 2013 Unification Family Workshop at the Unification Observatory at Goseong, Gangwon-do last Sep. 6 and 7, which included North Korean refugees. 1,600 people including the refugees and council members attended the workshop to have a family-hood relationship ceremony between North Korean refugees and council members and hold a “Joint Ancestral Rites of Yearning for Homeland” for those missing their families in North Korea.

The Workshop lasted for two days and Kim Jong-hae, Council member, gave a special lecture under the subject, “Recent Trend of North Korea and Unification Environment of the Korean Peninsula” while Prof. Jeong Hun-kyo of Hanshin University presented a lecture under the subject of “Cutting Edge Society and Open Health”.
