The Western South America Municipal Chapter (Head : Bang Jong-seok) held on July 7, 2013 the first Futsal competition wishing for national unification to foster friendship among young Korean-Argentineans and instill patriotism in their minds.
Held for three weeks as a full league in the San Jose Stadium, Buenos Aires and co-sponsored by the Korean Soccer Association in Argentina, the Futsal competition was participated in by 5 adult teams, 11 youth teams, and 9 student teams. “We held the event, thinking that it would be a good opportunity to have Korean-Argentineans think about their identity as Koreans as well as national unification,” Bang Jong-seok, Head of Western South America Municipal Chapter said.
