The Sangju-si (Gyeongbuk-do) Municipal Chapter (Head : Kim Jong-jun) held on May 20, 2013 a lecture session on unification at Kyungpook University at Sangju for ROTC cadets.
The special lecture was given by Mr. Ahn Deuk-gi, a researcher at the Institute for National Security Strategy, on the Korean Peninsula Trust-Building Process, Unification, and National Security. He stressed that college students needed to have correct understanding of the need for preparations for national unification.
According to him, a balanced approach should be taken toward dialogues with the North and international collaboration in the direction of the Korean Peninsula Trust-Building Process, and that all the relevant approaches should be based on firm defense posture and collaboration with the international community.
