Dongdaemun-gu Municipal Chapter holds “One Mind Concert Wishing for Peaceful Unification”
The Dongdaemun-gu Municipal Chapter (head: Oh Gwang-soo) of Seoul held the “One Mind Concert Wishing for Peaceful Unification” at the Baebongsan Neighborhood Park’s outdoor stage on September 3.
This concert was held successfully with over 2,000 local residents participating. Various pre-ceremony events were held such as family walking event for peaceful unification, making a tetrastich wishing for unification, and making autumn postcards. These events were planned to consolidate the willingness for peaceful unification of the local residents of Dongdaemun-gu and to prepare for unification with one mind.

In his opening speech, Oh Gwang-soo, head of the Dongdaemun-gu Municipal Chapter, stressed that the formation of social atmosphere that weakens the will to unify due to the public’s misunderstanding of the current situation of the North and the South and the proliferation of such should not happen. The unification is the mission of our people, and we should prepare for the era of unification here in Dongdaemun, the gate of the capital city Seoul, he added.

This event came to an end with all the participants singing together the song “Our Wish.” It was a concert that consolidated the willingness for unification in Baebongsan Mountain one early autumn evening.
