  • The Washington DC Municipal Chapter (Head : Hong Hee-kyung) held on January 12, 2013 a New Year greeting cum breakfast prayer session. At the session, Reverend Kim Beom-su (Head of the Washington Churches Municipal Chapter) said a prayer with the theme of “Being United as One is Beautiful.” Attendees prayed for peace and development of their homeland, new South Korean President Park Geun-hye, and improved human rights and happiness of their North Korean brethren.
    In the session that followed, the status of the promotion of unification-related programs in the past year was reported, and plans for 2013 were announced. According to Hong Hee-kyung, the Head of the Washington DC Municipal Chapter will be holding a concert wishing for unification at the JFK Center in Washington DC on April 13.
