  • New Zealand Municipal Chapter holds prize-awarding ceremony for the winners of the writing contest on patriotism and unification
  • The New Zealand Municipal Chapter (Head : Kim Yong-gwi) presented awards to winners of the 2012 Drawing/Writing Contest on Patriotism and Unification in a ceremony held on November 23, 2012 in a facility in Auckland. The Grand Prize winners included Jeong Jae-min (Korean School of West Auckland) in Drawing and Jang Hyeon-hi (New Zealand School of Korea) in Writing. The Gold Prize was presented to 29 children, including Gang Na-jin (Drawing) and Ahn Hyo-sin (Writing). A total of 320 works were submitted to the contest, which was held for Koreans throughout New Zealand. Judges included writers Lee In-sun and O So-yeong, painters Lee Gi-jae and Kim Hyeong-dong, and Mr. Kang Seung-seok, an official at the Korean Consulate Office in Auckland. The prize-winning works will be displayed in a space in the Korean Consulate Office in Auckland for a month beginning December. The Municipal Chapter published a collection of the prize-winning works titled Stories about Love for the Home Country.
