  • The Chennai India Branch of the Southwest Asia Municipal Chapter held a special lecture session on May 30, 2013 at the Ballroom of Hotel Savera on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War, with about 170 people attending including NUAC council members and representatives of Korean associations.
    The event was prepared by NUAC council members Sim Sang-man and Sim Gwi-ho. During the session, Mr. Kim Gwang-jin, senior researcher at the Institute for National Security Strategy, explained the current situation of North Korea under the leadership of Kim Jong-un, the North's provocative threats, the South's strategy of coping with them, and the Park Geun-hye administration's North Korean Policy.
    On June 1, 2013, the Sri Lanka Branch (Head : Eom Gyeong-ho) of the Southwest Asia Municipal Chapter held a unification-related lecture session at the Korean Culture Center in Sri Lanka by inviting Dr. Kim Gwang-jin as lecturer.
    The lecture session was followed by an informal meeting on unification, with the following people attending: Korean Ambassador Choi Jong-mun in Sri Lanka, Branch Chapter Head Eom Gyeong-ho, and representatives of Korean associations.
