  • The Cheongju (Chungbuk-do) Municipal Chapter (Head : Oh Hyeon-jin) held on March 19, 2013 Unification Golden Bell at the Cheonju Indoor Gym. Aimed at helping enhance local residents’ interest in unification-related matters, the event was attended by Cheongju Mayor Han Beom-deok and more than 300 local residents including 6 multicultural families.

    At the session, which was preceded by a performance on the subject of One Korea, Han Gyeong-gap from Bunpyeong-dong won first place among the 100 people who passed the preliminary test.

    Aside from Unification Golden Bell held on March 19, a similar contest was held on April 3 at the Cheongju Indoor Gym with more than 400 high school students attending. The Grand Prize was presented to Kim Min-yeong (senior, Daeseong High School). Ten other students received prizes. They will enter a similar contest at the Chungcheongbuk-do level scheduled for May 22.
