The Seoul Provincial Assembly (vice-chairperson: Sohn Kyung-shik) hosted the “Seoul Peaceful Unification Forum for the Second Half of 2016” on December 1 at the Convention Center of Gwanggaeto building in Sejong University, with the theme “The Start of the Trump Administration in the U.S. and the Direction of Our Policy on North Korea” and the participation of 300 people including Seoul Forum members and council members.

With Byun Jin-heung, head of the Research Committee of the Seoul Forum, presiding, the forum proceeded with 4 topics: ▲Forecast of the Policy on the Korean Peninsula by the Trump Administration (Cha Du-hyeon, visiting researcher at the Korea Institute for National Unification) ▲Issue of the North Korean Nuclear Program and Start of the Trump Administration (Professor Kim Tae-woo of Konyang University) ▲Forecast of the Situation of North Korea in the Trump Age and South-North Korean Relations (Wang Son-taek, reporter on Unification Diplomacy at YTN) and ▲Direction of North Korean Human Rights Policy and Policy on North Korea (Park Hyeong-jung, senior research fellow of the Korea Institute for National Unification).
