The Cheorwon Municipal Chapter (Head: Hyun Tae-sub) of Gangwon-do hosted the "Unity of National Opinion and Hope of Peaceful Unification Festival" for three days from October 16 during the Taebong Festival, a regional festival of Cheorwon-gun held in the Cheorwon Stadium.

The event featured the government promotion of unification policies and NUAC, commemorative photo shoot at a photo zone, and writing of letters of hope for peaceful unification. It provided the tourists visiting the festival with an opportunity to take interest in the importance of patriotism and security as well as unification.
