The Gimpo-si (Gyeonggi-do) Municipal Chapter (Head : Jo Jin-nam) held on July 18, 2013 a young people's walking rally wishing for national unification.
The two-day rally was attended by more than 130 students from 6 high schools in Gimpo. Gimpo Mayor Yu Yeong-rok, Superintendent Kim Ju-seop of the Gimpo Office of Education, and principals and teachers cheered them up prior to the start of the walking rally.
The attendees also went through a program prepared by the Gimpo Youth Training Center, including an educational session on the government's North Korean policy, North Korean refugees' explanation about the reality of the North, inspection tour of the Marine Corps Blue Dragon Unit, and visit to Peak Aegi close to the DMZ.
