2014 Unification Quiz Contest of NUAC Jeju Municipal Chapter!

'2014 Unification Quiz Contest of NUAC Jeju Municipal Chapter' was held on June 17 at Jeju Halla Gymnasium.

About 290 students from 12 high schools in Jeju province participated in the quiz contest.

The Unification Quiz Contest was provided for the youth to understand the various issues related to national unification and the inter-Korean relationship. The high school students of Jeju were divided into two groups to contend at the qualifying round, and 100 of the students proceeded to the final round.
However, an additional opportunity was given to those who did not pass the qualifying round.
A consolidation round offered an additional chance to win, which increased the students’ enthusiasm.
A simple and quick round of True or False quiz was the most interesting and high-spirited game for the students.
Before the final round started, the singing group "Funny Max" presented a flag performance to celebrate the quiz contest.
About 130 students advanced to the final round, where they were challenged on their knowledge about the unification of the Korean peninsula.
Those who did not give the correct answer were to leave the quiz zone.
The more questions that were asked, the less number of contenders were left.
Another consolidation round was provided at the finals.
The winner of the quiz contest was Kim Min-jung (Ohyun High School), who took home the Unification Award.
Other awards were given to Kim Sung-min (Ohyun High School), Lee Tae-min (Ohyun High School), Lee Yong-jin (Namnyeong High School), Kang Bo-mee (Jejujungang Girls High School), Han Seoung-soo (Ohyun High School), Kang Hyo-rim (Samsung GirlsngHigh School) and Kim Seung-hyun (Ohyun High School).
A special award was given to Mr. Yang Won-chul, teacher of Ohyun High School, whose school produced the largest number of winners.
All the students, teachers and parents watched the contest until the final winner was decided.
The contenders said that it was a good opportunity for them to learn about the issues of national unification and to have them think of what they should do about it.
