The Mokpo Municipal Chapter (head: Woo Seung-ha) of Jeollanam-do hosted the “Onboard workshop and Jeju cultural exploration” for two days from November 8 with around 30 North Korean defectors and council members.

On the seminar room onboard to Jejudo Island, the participants listened to the lecture by council member Cho Ok-hee about the methods of solving difficulties and disputes in the process of settling in South Korea. The North Korean defectors and council members discussed various prejudices that they experienced in the process of settlement, engaging in a heated debate on the methods of overcoming them.

"Jejudo Island was the place that I wanted to visit the most, and I feel so glad to visit it for the first time,” a North Korean defector who participated in the workshop said, expressing his gratitude for "realizing the dream of going from Baekdu to Halla.”
