The Daegu Provincial Assembly (Vice-chairperson: Park Gyu-ha) held the “DalBit One-heart Music Festival for Unification” in the presence of 1400 people including Executive Vice-chairperson Yoo Ho-yeol, Council Members in Daegu and Gwangju, and citizens in Daegu at 4 PM on August 19 at Yongji Hall, Suseong Artpia.

The event “DalBit” was named after each of the first letters of “Dalgubul” and “Bitgoeul,” which were pure Korean words of Daegu and Gwangju. The music festival adopted a resolution against nuclear test and missile launch in North Korea. The participants urged North Korea to stop the nuclear and missile development and return to international society as a faithful member and strongly demanded that the minimum human right to humane life of North Korean residents be upheld as specified in the resolution. They also asked that activities anachronistically provoking the so-called south-south conflict and chaos in our society via a “united front” strategy be stopped immediately.

During the Music Festival, various musicians including vocalists Kang Min-sung and Noh Hee-sub, Korean classical musician Seo Myung-hee, and popular singer Bae Il-ho performed beautifully to wish for the peaceful unification of the two Koreas and pray for the resolution of regional conflicts and harmony.
