Yangju Municipal Chapter (Head: Hong Sun-pyeong) held a Youth Essay Contest for National Unification last Oct. 9 at the Grass Square of Yangju City Hall and invited elementary school students in the region to enhance their awareness of national unification and establish a firm view of unification. The contest was organized for 4th to 6th graders in 31 elementary schools in the city. After the essay contest, the students enjoyed an OX Quiz on North Korean words, face painting, folk games involving the breaking of large gourds and other interesting games.

A grand prix was awarded to Han Sa-rang (5th grader of Ganap Elementary School) who applied under the title of “No More Sorrow of Division” and a second prize was given to Myung Jo-eun (4th grader of Sinji Elementary School).
