West branch of South America Municipal Chapter (Head: Bang Jong-seok) organized a publicity campaign during the Day of Koreans last Oct. 6 at Korean Town in Avellaneda near Buenos Aires, Argentine.
 

Bang Jong-seok, head of the municipal chapter, and other council members erected street banners expressing their wish for the national unification of Korea in order to proliferate awareness of unification among the local Korean communities in the country and they distributed 5,000 caps inscribing their wishes for unification to attendants.  Also 1,000 pamphlets written in Spanish introducing the National Unification Advisory Council were published and distributed. The organizers presented a video entitled, “Proud Koreans”, and conducted a survey on national unification. 

300 people were surveyed on the following questions: “Do you know that the Republic of Korea is divided into two countries?” “Have you ever heard of the Korean War?” “Who told it to you or when were you told?” “Do you think Korean Peninsula should be unified?” “What do you think is the most important reason for not achieving unification of the Korean Peninsula?” The questionnaires were written both in Korean and Spanish.
