Gyeongnam Provincial Assembly (Vice-chairperson: Seong Je-kyung) held a workshop for 70 council members from each municipal chapter including the heads, secretaries and administrative directors last Sep. 4 and 5 at High 1 Resort in Jeongseon, Gangwon-do.

Vice-chairperson Seong Je-kyung welcomed the attendants and Choi Dae-geon, secretary of the Gyeongnam Provincial Assembly, reported major business plans and activities to them. Prof. Ha Sang-sik of Changwon National University gave a lecture on the subject, “Understanding a Different Viewpoint on Inter-Korean Policy”, explaining the causes of different political and ideological viewpoints on national unification, social recognition on inter-Korean policy and domestic efforts to realize national unification.

Another special lecture was given by Kwak Jong-mun, principal of Hangyeore High School under the title, “Understanding North Korea of the Kim Jeong-eun Era and Vision on National Unification”, followed by Lee Hyun-seok, head of Haman Municipal Chapter, Kwon Gap-jeom, secretary of the chapter, and Lee Yeong-mi, administrative director of Jinju Municipal Chapter, who explained their difficulties in promoting the unification movements in their regions.
