  • Jung-gu Seoul Municipal Chapter holds beacon-lighting ceremony at Namsan Beacon Mound on Liberation Day
  • The Jung-gu Seoul Municipal Chapter (Head : Lee Gi-seon) held a beacon-lighting event at 7:00 PM on August 14, 2013 at Namsan Beacon Mound near Palgakjeong at the top of Namsan Mountain on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of Liberation Day, with about a thousand people attending.
    During the event, which followed the Police Public Relations Team’s celebratory performance, Jung-Gu Office Head Choi Chang-sik, Jung-gu Seoul Municipal Chapter Head Lee Gi-seon, and Secretary General Park Chan-bong gave inspirational remarks. Afterward, Ji Hae-gyeong, Senior Adviser of Jung-gu Seoul Municipal Chapter, read a message wishing for peaceful unification.
    Head Yang U-jin of the Jung-gu Seoul Municipal Chapter read a message of peaceful unification addressed to our North Korean brethren. Finally, Mr. Park Chan-bong, Mr. Lee Gi-seon, and invited guests lighted the beacon.
