The Yongin Municipal Chapter (head: Hwang Shin-chul) of Gyeonggi-do held a unification musical at the Yongin Women's Center Keuneoul Madang (Art Hall) on December 8 with the participation of around 500 people, including council members and citizens.

The musical consisted of Act 1, a unification musical on the topic of “Dreaming of a Unified Korea,” and Act 2, a musical gala show. Act 1 featured 10 beautiful and grand songs touching the hearts of the audience such as Mugunghwa March, Returning Ship, Frontline Nocturne, and Life Diary, whereas Act 2 included songs that citizens were familiar with such as If I Leave, the masterpiece of the musical “The Last Empress,” and An Jung-geun’s Jangbuga from the musical “Hero,” ending with time to dream about unification with a final chorus of Arirang.

"We were worried that a unification musical would be rather heavy and boring, but it touched our hearts with a story full of laughter and emotion," participating audience members said.
