The Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Assembly (vice-chairperson: Han Sam-hwa) conducted a training for about 300 council members in Gyeongsangbuk-do for the latter half of 2016 at Commodore Hotel Gyeongju for two days from November 10.

On the first day of the training, a unification lecture on “The status and prospect of the North Korean regime” by Reporter Lee Yong-jong of JoongAng Ilbo and “Unification Talk Concert with North Korean defectors” by Director Yoon Yeo-sang of the Database Center for North Korean Human Rights as well as North Korean defectors were held to aid in understanding of the reality and life in North Korea as experienced directly by North Korean defectors.

Lastly, Professor Lee Tae-yoon of the Korea National Defense University gave a unification lecture on “War against terrorism and IS (armed extremist Muslim group), and North Korea” to talk about terrorist groups and their brutalities.
