The Beijing Municipal Chapter (Head : Lee Hun-buk) held an essay contest on peaceful unification at the Beijing Korean International School between March 25 and April 12.

The contest on essay, speech, and poster on national unification was participated in by more than 500 4th ~ 12th graders.
Prior to the commencement of the essay contest, a session was held to help students have a correct view of our fatherland and peaceful unification of the country.
Prizes were awarded at a ceremony held on March 12, 2013 at the Beijing Korean International School, with Head Lee Hun-bok, Principal Jeong Yong-ho, Consul General Baek Beom-heum, and parents attending. O Se-rim (11th grader) received the Grand Prize. Prizes were awarded to 12 winners in the essay category, 10 winners in the speech category, and 9 winners in the poster drawing category. Digital cameras, etc., were presented to the prize winners.
Attendees sang the song "Our Wish is Unification" together.
