The Jindo-gun (Jeonnamdo) Municipal Chapter (Head : Kim Seung-i) held a special lecture session on national unification at the Jindo-Gun Welfare Center on February 5. At the lecture session, Ms. Kim Yun-ae, a North Korean refugee, explained the reality of the North as well as how the South's culture flows into the North, including the expected impact of the operation of the Gaeseong Industrial Park on unification.
The municipal chapter also provided a meal to more than 300 senior citizens to celebrate Lunar New Year and 1 kg of sliced rice cake to be used for rice cake soup per person. NUAC Advisory Members Kim Ok-jeong and Lee Gwang-seok paid 2 million and provided a pig and 160 kg of rice for the ancillary event.
