The North Korean Refugees Support Standing Committee (Chief: Kim Boon-ho) of the Jeonju Municipal Chapter (Head: Na Chun-gyun) of Jeollabuk-do hosted the "Delicious Unification Meal – North and South, Mixing with Unification" event for four days from October 20, running an experiential booth for selling North Korean food at the 2016 Jeonju Bibimbap Festival held at the Korea Traditional Culture Center in Wansan-gu, Jeonju.

At this event, citizens experienced the unique North Korean food culture by trying North Korean foods such as potato pancakes and corn porridge and making glutinous potato cake.

In addition, the Jeonju Chapter Arm-Around-Shoulder Team consisting of council members and defectors prepared a bibimbap under the motif of "Moonlight drawn through unification" by expressing the "taste of unification" as a full moon. They went on to win the gold medal at the bibimbap competition.
