The Women’s Committee of Gangwon Provincial Assembly (chief: Kim Sook-yeong) held the “2016 Gangwon One Mind Unification Workshop for Women Mentors and Mentees” for two days and one night on July 11 and 12 at the Wonpyeong Farmstay in Chuncheon.

This year’s One Mind Unification Workshop for female mentors and mentees in the Gangwon area was joined by a total of 65 persons including Park Yong-seong, vice-chairperson of the Gangwon Municipal Chapter, and Lee Don-gyun, head of the Chuncheon Municipal Chapter, as well as Women’s Committee Chief Kim Sook-yeong and female council members from 18 municipal chapters and North Korean defectors. The chiefs of each municipal chapter’s Women’s Standing Committee and North Korean defectors gave presentations on their mentoring activities in the past year, followed by discussion session and talks on the future directions for mentors and mentees.

The workshop included a special lecture from an outside expert and also provided an opportunity for mentors and mentees to bond, through activities including potato digging and tomato picking, trout fishing, and campfire.
