The New York Municipal Chapter (head: Jeung Jae kun) of the U.S had a press conference on Feb. 17 at the restaurant KumGangSan in Flushing to urge participation in the day of wishing for national unification of Korea by all religious groups and to call for efforts to realize peaceful unification of the Korean peninsula.

Representatives of the Council of Korean Churches of Greater New York, Special Overseas Parish of Jogye Order or Korean Buddhism in the East, the Eastern Parish of Won-Buddhism, Korean American Clergy Women Association, and St. Paul Chong Hasang Parish attended the press conference to announce the day of wishing for national unification to be held on March 1.
