The Chungju-si (Chungbuk-do) Municipal Chapter (Head : Park In-gyu) held special lecture sessions for more than 400 undergraduates at Chungju Polytech University on April 1, 2013. The lectures were given by Mr. Ahn Deuk-gi, a researcher at the Institute for National Security Strategy, and Ms. Yu Hyeun-ju, a North Korean refugee.
Speaking on the "North's Provocative Threats and Their Impact on Unification and National Security," Mr. Ahn said that the North's nuclear test and continued provocative threats pose a stumbling block to the Park Geun-hye administration's promotion of North Korean policies. "The North should return to the dialogue table to develop inter-Korea relations through mutual trust and establish stability in Northeast Asia," he stressed.
After the lecture, a unification-related quiz contest was held as an ancillary event.
