The Daegu Provincial Assembly (vice-chairperson: Park Gyu-ha) hosted the “Grand One-heart Unification Festival with Daegu Citizens” on November 6 at Okjeo Complex of Daegu Technical High School.

The Grand One-heart Unification Festival was attended by around 700 people, including Secretary General Kwon Tae-oh and Daegu Metropolitan City Mayor Kwon Young-jin as well as defectors from North Korea, displaced people, people from multicultural families, NUAC council members, and Daegu citizens, who had a fun time getting along with one another.

The Festival included fun games and talent shows by North Korean defectors; the mood was heightened by saxophone performance and congratulatory performance by a singer who defected from North Korea.

The participants in the event condemned the missile provocation by North Korea, which impedes the peaceful unification of the Korean Peninsula, and strongly urged North Korea to make a decision on denuclearization for the stability and peace of the Korean Peninsula in order to return as a normal member of international society.
