Shanghai - 3rd Unification Festival for the Youth
Elementary school students participated in a drawing contest with national unification as a theme; middle and high school students joined the "Unification Quiz Contest" at the park. Both activities were aimed at reviewing the significance of national unification.
“This festival was organized for the Korean youth studying abroad to have the right recognition on the unification of the Korean Peninsula on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of Independence and 96th Anniversary of Establishing the Provisional Government of Korea in Shanghai. It is very meaningful to hold the event here in the park, where the spirit of the independence fighters of Korea is very much alive. I wish our young generation can have better understanding on the reality of the division of our fatherland on the occasion of this festival,“ said Lee Chang-ho, head of the Shanghai Municipal Chapter.
