The Kyrgyzstan Branch (head: Jeong Ji-seong) hosted a unification lecture on the topic of “Status of Human Rights in North Korea and Recent Situation in North Korea” at Europa Hotel on December 7 with the participation of around 130 people, including council members, overseas Koreans, Koryo-saram, and youths.

"Even though numerous North Korean citizens are in pain due to the flood that occurred a few months ago, the Kim Jong-un regime of North Korea is spending an astronomical amount of money for nuclear and missile development," Lee Soo-suk, director of research on unification strategy at the Institute of National Security Strategy, lamented. He also explained about how to view the North Korean regime neglecting the North Korean citizens and what we should be doing for North Korean citizens to enjoy human rights and live at least a human life, drawing huge sympathy among the participants.
