The Sacheon Municipal Chapter (head: Jeon jae-suk) of Gyeongsangnam-do hosted the 5th calligraphy contest in yearning for peaceful unification and the 2nd patriotism and unification painting contest at Samcheonpo Gymnasium in the morning of November 10.

The event was participated in by around 60 citizens and 100 students who expressed their thoughts on unification using calligraphy (Korean, Chinese characters) and paintings (crayon, watercolor). The submitted works will be evaluated for awarding at the end of the year.

The event was hosted in order to spread awareness and importance of unification through creative activities that carry the yearning for unification by students and unification and to build dreams and willingness for peaceful unification in order to shed light on the future aspect of the unified Korea.
