The Vladivostok Municipal Chapter (head: Lee Kyoung-jong) held the Korea-Russia Culture Festival event on May 26, 6:00pm at Underground Cinema in Vladivostok.

During the event, unification music performance, traditional dance, performance, Hanbok fashion show, and cultural exchange festival were held and participated in by around 600 participants including the Korean diaspora in Russia and local residents of Vladivostok. In the unification music performance, vocalist Kang Min-seong, the honorary ambassador of the National Unification Advisory Council, and Baritone Park Jung-min sang “Korean Dream,” “Four Seasons in Geumgangsan Mountain,” and “Unification Song Sung from the Heart,” increasing the expectations of unification in the Korean peninsula.

"This is an event that shares communication and visions of Korea and Russia in the Far East. The unification of the Korean Peninsula will have huge influence on the developments of the Three Northeastern Provinces in China and Maritime Province in Russia and create a Far East economic zone, leading to peace and prosperity in Northeastern Asia," said NUAC Secretary General Bae Jung-ho, who participated in the event.

The event was participated in by many local Russian residents, with the Korean diaspora in Russia driving three hours to get to Vladivostok. In addition, 50 disabled people who also participated as models for the Hanbok fashion show drew attention.
