Yeonggwang Municipal Chapter (Head: Kwon Jae-guk) of Jeonnam held an awarding ceremony for the essay writing contest wishing for national unification last Nov. 22 at the conference room of Yeonggwang-gun Office. The top prize was given to Kim Jeong-won (2nd grader of Haeryong High School) for his essay on participating in the National Unification Quiz Program organized by Jeonnam Provincial Assembly last June. A total of 180 students from elementary, middle, and high schools in the region submitted their writings for the contest during the period June ~ July.   
The municipal chapter awarded the 30 essays submitted by the students, and they will be published as a collection titled "Hand-in-Hand."
