The Gwangju Municipal Chapter (Head: Park Jong-sun) of Gyeonggi-do held a harvest event titled "Unification Hope Farm in Cooperation with North Korean Defectors" at the Unification Hope Farm in Toechon-myeon on October 13, with around 30 people in attendance including council members and North Korean defectors.

The Youth Standing Committee (Chief: Ham Byung-shik) of the Gwangju Municipal Chapter of Gyeonggi-do has planted and farmed various crops like sweet potatoes along with council members and North Korean defectors for six months since last May, delivering 30 boxes of sweet potatoes harvested that day to the North Korean defectors.

The "Unification Hope Farm" was promoted as part of the government 3.0 customized service project in order to support the stable settlement of North Korean defectors in the area.
