The Danyang Municipal Chapter (head: Jeong Ha-mo) of Chungcheongbuk-do hosted the “2016 Unification Round-table Talk with Women’s Group” in the morning of November 2 at Danyang Tourist Hotel with around 60 people in attendance, including female council members and Danyang Women’s Council (head: Shim Ok-hwa) members and directors.

The round-table talk kicked off with the presentation on “Our strategies for unification and security in preparation for the Kim Jong-un regime” by Professor Ahn Seong-ho of Chungbuk National University, followed by heated debates on various topics such as roles of women on practical preparation for unification and establishment of women’s leadership for the unification of the Korean Peninsula.

The participants noted that the unification round-table talk was an opportunity for strengthening the capacities on preparing for unification by providing information on the status of the Korean Peninsula and the reality of South and North Koreas and expressed hope that there will be more opportunities like this.
