The Youth Committee (chief: Kim Chi-yong) of the Jeju Provincial Assembly (vice-chairperson: Kim Soon-taek) went on a security and history field trip to sites such as Panmunjeom for three days from November 18 with around 40 people including youth council members, students from college unification clubs (“Hopeace” of Jeju National University, “Hanbaek” of Cheju Halla University), and guiding professors.

During the field trip, the participants applied for the “Good neighbor student program by US Forces in Korea” in order to listen to the briefing on security issues in the Korean Peninsula and to look around Panmunjeom, the symbol of separation.

In addition, they had an indirect experience on the pain of war by going to the 3rd Tunnel, Dora Observatory, and War Memorial of Korea, enhancing awareness of unification and sharing the importance of preparing for unification.
