The Women’s Committee (chief: Jin Myung-hee) of Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Assembly (vice-chairperson: Kim Byung-mook) hosted the “2016 Live Talk by Chungnam women: Unification chatroom” on the topic “The roles and attitude of local women in preparation for unification” on November 4 at the Diamond Hall of Onyang Hot Spring Hotel, with around 200 people in attendance including female council members in the Chungnam region, local women, and North Korean defectors.

Professor Kim Young-soo of Sogang University, who gave a special lecture on the topic “The roles and tasks of local female leaders of unification,” emphasized that the participants need to become local female leaders in preparation for unification by learning about the situations and reality of North Korea. On the other hand, in the “Unification Chatroom,” the panel put emphasis on becoming local female leaders of unification who serve and practice with delicacy and maternal love unique to women in preparation for the unification of the Korean Peninsula.
