The San Francisco Chapter (Head: Chung Seung-duk) of the US hosted a lecture event under the topic of "Evaluation of recent North Korean circumstances and our policy toward North Korea" by inviting Shin Eon, Director of the Institute for National Security Strategy, at a local trade center of KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) on October 11, with around 150 people in attendance including council members and heads of regional organizations.

"North Korea is threatening our lives as well as world peace through nuclear experiments and missile launches in order to maintain its dictatorship. We must continue the principled momentum of sanctions against North Korea along with the international community until North Korea shows genuine intention to relinquish its nuclear program," said Director Shin at the lecture event.
