The San Francisco Chapter (head: Chung Seung-duk) of the US launched the “SF Unification Choir” in early July with Council Member Seo Sun-hee as Director as part of a broader project to strengthen unity among Korean residents in the San Francisco area and to fuel determination for unification.
The 20-member Unification Choir has been knee-deep in practice since its inception. It plans to participate in various projects aimed at promoting sympathy and determination for the cause of unification and in charity events intended to help North Korean defectors.
Meanwhile, the San Francisco Chapter held a large gathering that included a series of events in front of the Full Gospel San Francisco Church on July 11. The gathering, which served as an opportunity for participants to exchange opinions on future unification-related projects, featured a conference seeking the restoration of freedom for North Korean citizens, a lecture on North Korea policy, and a golf contest wishing for the unification of the Korean peninsula.
