The Brazil Municipal Chapter (Head: Dae-geun Park) held the 2nd Unification Golden Bell for young Koreans at the auditorium of Brazil Korean School on May 9, 2015 in order to help participants build a stronger sense of identity as Korean and to enhance their understanding of the history of Korea's division and preparations for unification.
The preliminary round of the quiz contest began with true or false questions on unification terminology and various issues in fields such as society, politics, culture, and common knowledge. A total of 18 participants who survived the preliminary round and consolation round had to offer correct short answers to advance to the next rounds until only one person was left in the contest, who is the final winner.
The event was attended by over 250 people including Gong Han-ok, principal of Brazil Korean School, Jegal Young-cheol, chairman of the Korea-Brazil Education Association, Kim Seong-min, chairman of Korean Language Schools’ Association, Congressman William Woo, students, and parents. Lee Hye-jun, who was the only person left, won the contest.
