Busan Provincial Assembly (Vice-chairperson: Lee Yeong-suk) invited Jeonbuk Provincial Assembly (Vice-chairperson: Kim Yeong-gu) to Busan in order for the members of the two assemblies to be harmonized and study the way to revitalize national unification activities in the regions.

Park Chan-bong, Secretary General of the Council, gave a special lecture at the friendship exchange event between the Busan and Jeonbuk Provincial Assemblies under the subject, “Korean Peninsula Trust-Building Process”, and Kim Geon-hyung, a North Korean refugee, introduced the real status of North Korea under the subject title of “Changing North Korea and Unchanging North Korea” at the Commodore Hotel last October 17-18. 
160 members from the two assemblies participated in the exchange event to discuss how they promoted unification activities and built close cooperative systems and communication networks between the two assemblies to proliferate national unification awareness more broadly and efficiently.
