The Yangsan Municipal Chapter (head: Jeon Jae-geun) of Gyeongsangnam-do hosted a year-end night event at the Mission Buffet Restaurant on December 2 with around 140 North Korean defectors.

At this event, participants spent an enjoyable night with a merry performance by local singers and a talent show wherein North Korean defectors took part.

"In order for North Korean defectors to settle in society successfully, there should be active social activity and efforts to understand the culture," Chapter head Jeon Jae-geun stressed.

This event was jointly hosted by the Yangsan City Hall and sponsored by the Yangsan Chamber of Commerce, with generous care packages presented to North Korean defectors.
