The Dalseong Municipal Chapter (head: Kim Sang-moon) of Daegu successfully held the “Smart-talent Youth Harmony Festival in Hope of Unification” on September 8 at the auditorium of the cultural welfare complex in the Dalseong-gun Office, with around 450 people in attendance including middle school and high school students of Dalseong-gun and council members.

The students who participated in the festivals voluntarily formed teams in order to show their talents by expressing free topics related to unification in the form of dances and songs.

Team Crow of Dalseong Middle School, which received the Unification Award as the highest award for the day, noted that the unification of the Korean Peninsula will come soon if South and North pursue mutual cooperation and settle the issue with a unified heart, just as they solved various disputes and problems that occurred in the process of creating unique dances. In addition, students received applause from the audience for expressing unification through their unique messages, such as “Permanent Unification” shown on the map of the Korean Peninsula, which was filled with mugunghwa (rose of Sharon; national flower of Korea), using their own creative dances and wrapping a huge taegeukgi (national flag of Korea) around their bodies.
