The Executive Committee conference of the America Provincial Assembly was held from March 31 to April 3 at Oxford Palace Hotel in LA, USA. During the conference, which was administered by Kim Ki-chul, vice-chairperson of the American Assembly, the participation method on the 17th Overseas Provincial Assembly held in Seoul from May as well as major business plans for the second half of 2016 were discussed, with the participation of Kim Hyun-myung, Korean consul general in LA, and the heads of Canada and North and South America municipal chapters.

In addition, a statement of protest for North Korea, whose 4th nuclear experiment and long-range missile launching were seen as provocations, was adopted in the conference. The participants also agreed to make efforts to expand the understanding of the local majority society and overseas society regarding the provocations of North Korea and to form a consensus on our government’s policy on North Korea.
