The Gangneung Municipal Chapter in Gangwon-do (Head: Kim Hwa-mok) held an exhibition of essays and artwork by young students who won contests in the lobby on the first floor of Gangneung City Hall from August 5 through 14, 2015. A total of 60 works were displayed, including the top award-winning essay and artwork.
The essay and art contests for elementary through high school students ran from May 1 through June 10 2015. A total of 360 entries were submitted, including 160 essays and over 200 works of art.
Jeong Hae-rin (3rd grade, Chodang Elementary School in Gangneung), Kim Jun-so (3rd grade, Solall Middle School), and Kang Gyeong-cheol (1st grade, Myeongryun High School) won the grand prize in the essay contest; Kim Na-hyeon (1st grade, Gwandong Middle School), Kwon Si-won (2nd grade, Yeolgok Elementary School), and Ahn Ye-ram (6th grade, Geumgwang Elementary School) won the best prize in their respective age groups in the art contest.
